Build It from the Ground Up
This is not a maintenance role. You will design, implement, and run the entire Project Controls framework from the Owner’s side — initially as a hands-on leader of one, and over time as the builder of a high-performing team.
You will establish the systems, reporting standards, cost control processes, scheduling structure, and governance model that will guide the project from feasibility through construction and commissioning.
If you enjoy structure, clarity, predictability — and building them where they don’t yet exist — this role is for you.

What You Will Do
• Establish the project cost and schedule control framework from scratch.
• Develop and manage capital cost baselines, forecasting, and cash flow models.
• Implement earned value and progress measurement systems.
• Oversee integrated project scheduling (Primavera P6).
• Lead change management, trends, and contractor performance analysis.
• Deliver clear, executive-level reporting that drives decision-making.
• Partner with engineering, procurement, construction and finance teams to ensure alignment.
• Build and mentor the future Project Controls team as the project advances.
What We’re Looking For
• 12+ years of experience in project environments, including senior project controls leadership.
• Mining or large-scale industrial capital project experience.
• Strong background in cost control, scheduling, forecasting, and change management.
• Experience working within an Owner’s team environment is highly valued.
• Ability to operate hands-on in early phases while building scalable systems.
• Strong leadership presence and ability to influence senior stakeholders.
• Fluent English; French is a strong asset (if not fluent desire to become fluent is required); Spanish (asset).
• Excellent communication skills, in both English and French (preferred).
Why This Role Stands Out
• Opportunity to build a function — not inherit one.
• Direct visibility with senior leadership.
• Long-term development project in a premier Canadian mining jurisdiction.
• Real influence on how the project is structured and delivered.
• If you are motivated by ownership, accountability, and building something that lasts, we would like to speak with you.

Novador Gold Project and Fresnillo
Fresnillo plc is one of the world’s leading precious metals producers, with operations and development projects across the Americas.

We are now looking for a Project Controls Manager to build and lead the Project Controls function for Novador.
