JOB DESCRIPTION
Fresnillo plc is looking for an Electrical Engineer to join our technical team and support the development of the Novador Project.
This position will play a key role in ensuring the availability and reliability of electrical infrastructure for mining projects and operations, providing technical expertise throughout the development, design and implementation of electrical systems.

silver producer and one of Mexico’s largest gold producers, with several mines in operation. We also
hold a portfolio of advanced projects across South and North America, including the Novador gold
project located in the prolific Val d’Or mining district, in northwestern Quebec, Canada. Fresnillo
recently acquired the Novador project and is currently conducting a feasibility study with the goal of
developing the next leading gold mine in the Val d’Or region.
Opportunities
Key responsabilities
• Lead the evaluation, design and construction of electrical infrastructure projects, with a focus on cost, safety, reliability, quality and sustainability.
• Develop electrical engineering studies and project designs from the conceptual stage through pre-feasibility.
• Support the definition and preparation of CAPEX budgets for electrical infrastructure.
• Provide electrical engineering support to new mining projects and operating units.
• Define electrical design criteria and guidelines for power supply and distribution infrastructure. •
• Perform preliminary power demand assessments and evaluate power supply alternatives for greenfield mining projects.
• Plan electrical infrastructure requirements for mining operations over the Life of Mine (LOM).
• Conduct technical audits and inspections of electrical installations to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve reliability, productivity and operating costs (OPEX).
• Develop technical reports, recommendations and executive-level presentations.
What We’re Looking For
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience in mining, industrial electrical infrastructure or large-scale projects.
• Experience with electrical engineering studies, power supply and distribution systems, and project development.
• Strong understanding of applicable electrical codes, regulations and international standards.
• Ability to evaluate alternatives and make sound technical recommendations.
• Strong analytical, project management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with planning, operations, maintenance and technical teams.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to prepare technical documentation and executive presentations.
